Fluorocarbon Scotland announces its closure
Friday 26th June 2009 – After over 30 years of production, Fluorocarbon Company Ltd has announced that following an extensive and continuing review of its business units, on July 3rd 2009 it will close its Livingston site and transfer the business to its head office in Hertford, Hertfordshire.
The company would like to reassure customers that during the consolidation there will be no impact on sales and account activities, or the quality and availability of Fluorocarbon products.
The sites closure reflects the company’s focus to strengthen its position and enhance its ability to provide quality products at competitive prices in this ever changing and demanding marketplace. Consolidating capabilities will also enable the company to take advantage of Hertford’s dedicated technical resources.
Remaining committed to the Scottish market; the company is pleased to announce that Alan Paris, Scotland’s Commercial Manager, will transfer to Hertford to continue his role in managing account activities. Further to this, David Hendry has been appointed as Scotland Sales Manager and from his base near Livingston will ensure a continued local customer support.
Fluorocarbon emphasises that the integration will be seamless looks forward to a continuing mutual-beneficial relationship with all customers and suppliers.
