• Low friction / abrasion resistance Fluoropolymer materials have very low coefficient of friction. However the low friction capabilities are always a compound result with other characteristics, particularly wear resistance. • Corrosion / chemical resistance Our coatings are in wide use in most industrial and commercial chemical environments, offering protection against corrosion and contamination from substrates. We offer several extremely tough coatings that can withstand arduous industrial applications. These can be multi-coat systems with reinforcement within the actual coating to provide minute "bearing" surfaces. • Cryogenic stability Many of our coatings can withstand temperature extremes as low as -270°c without loss of physical properties. • Electrical properties With very high dialectric strength, low dissipation factor and high surface resistivity, high degrees of insulation can be achieved. Special formulations can offer electroconductive characteristics to function as anti-static surfaces. • Heat resistance Our products have a wide spread of temperature resistance. PTFE based materials can run at up to 290°C continuous, while our high temperature range of specialised finishes have a continuous rating of up to 600°C. • Water resistance Within our range are many formulations which are non wetting. As with the non-stick properties, this greatly aids cleanup of surfaces and in some applications will be virtually self cleaning. •Non -stick/release Fluoropolymer coatings offer superb non-stick surfaces that are easily cleaned. A wide range of release characteristics are available and can depend on other parameters.
