Fluoralon® HB

Coating Fluoralon® High Build coatings are based on high performance melt processible fluoropolymers, reinforced with unique modifiers to produce tough abrasion resistant coatings exhibiting high substrate adhesion, low porosity and excellent chemical resistance.

Desired thicknesses are attained by the application of multiple spray coats with high temperature oven-fusion cycles between each coat. Rotation of parts during coating minimises the effects of thermoplastic melt flow.

All coatings are meticulously inspected for thickness and evidence of flaws which might prejudice coating integrity.

Fluoralon® High Build coatings have been specifically developed to satisfy the most demanding requirements of the processing industries including organic and inorganic chemical manufacture and the food processing and pharmaceutical industries. The range includes those below.

Fluoralon® HB4001 Series

HB4001 is a corrosion resistant coating for process plant protection. This unique fluoropolymer alloy provides superior chemical resistance, low vapour transmission and excellent substrate adhesion. Service temperature range -50° to 160°C (intermittently to 180°C).

  • Fluoralon® HB4001 - Standard Version 0.2 to 1.5 mm thickness - colour: grey
  • Fluoralon® HB4501 - Static dissipative Version - colour: black

Fluoralon® HB4100 Series

Based on the standard ECTFE resin manufactured by Ausimont Montedison under the name Halar®. Service temperature range -50° to 150°C (intermittently to 160°C).

  • Fluoralon® HB4100 - Standard Version 0.2 to 1.0 mm thickness - colour: green
  • Fluoralon® HB4500 - Static Dissipative Version 0.2 to 1.0 mm thickness - colour: black
