Moulded material FLUOROCARBON POLYMER DIVISION manufacture PTFE Rod and Tube moulded from a wide range of virgin and filled PTFE grades by simple compression moulding, isostatic moulding and ram extrusion. Machined components are made by CNC, auto and conventional machining.

Compression Moulded Rod & Tube

PTFE Rods from 3 to 50 mm diameter, 2000 mm long.
Rods 50 to 1000 mm diameter various lengths.
Heavy wall tubes 20 to 1200 mm outside diameter various lengths.

Ram Extruded Rod & Tube

PTFE Rods 5 to 60 mm up to 4000 mm long.
PTFE Tubes 15 to 150 mm up to 4000 mm long.

PTFE Material Grades

A very wide range of Fluorinoid® virgin and filled PTFE grades are offered. There are currently over 190 filled grades of PTFE on the company materials register. Fillers include milled glass fibre, bronze powder, graphite, carbon, molybdenum disulphide, carbon fibre, polymeric fillers, calcium fluoride and many more. Many of the grades listed include more than one filler. Fluorocarbon can offer advice and assistance on the selection of materials for specific applications.

Special Products and Services

Custom Moulding - Isostatic wet and dry bag moulding for large complex shapes in relatively small quantities. Automatic moulding for small simple shapes in large quantities.
Compression moulded rods manufactured by a process unique to us to produce 2000 mm lengths of low stress material for machining within a narrow tolerance band.
Short lengths of heavy wall tube. We can machine components up to 1350 mm diameter.
Centreless ground extruded rod up to 4000 mm long for automatic machining of small components.
CNC, auto and conventional machining.
Etching and bonding (tubes can be supplied bonded to board for more efficient machining).
