Speciality Mouldings Fluorocarbon specialises in the manufacture of finished components utilising its extensive injection, compression and transfer moulding facilities to convert the widest range of melt fluoropolymers and advanced engineering thermoplastics into precision component parts. These components are used in domestic electrical. chemical, medical, fluid handling, food processing and aerospace applications. Rods, Tubes in Melt Fluoropolymers & Engineering Plastics

Fluoropolymer rod and tube A comprehensive range of advanced engineering plastics is offered in semi-finished rod, tube and sheet form, and includes FDA approved materials. Fluoropolymer materials include PEEK, PFA, FEP, ETFE, ECTFE, PCTFE, PDVF, polyamides, UHMWPE and PPS. These materials can be provided in virgin form or reinforced with a range of fillers to enhance physical, thermal and dynamic properties. The service covers material selection and is complimented by a full machining capability.

Slide Bearings and Skidways

Static Bearings Fluorocarbon has acquired a worldwide reputation for the design and manufacture of bonded PTFE/metallic slide bearings for the construction and oil industries. Utilising the extensive range of Fluorinoid® load bearing, low friction materials combined with state of the art chemical etching and bonding technology, Fluorocarbon provides a global service for skidding oil jackets, modules and heavy structures. In addition PTFE plain and dimpled inserts are supplied to all the leading manufacturers of pot bearings for road and bridge applications.
